Kaitlyn Turns One!!

We can't believe how quickly this year has gone by! Here is a sneak preview of one of the two parties she had:

When Grandpa and Grandma come to visit....

It's a party!!!

...And get your nails painted by Ava!!

It just so happened that The Boardwalk was opened during my Spring Break off from work so I decided to take the girls one morning. Ava is getting so much bigger! She now wants to go on all the rides and was upset when I wouldn't let her go on the Log Ride by herself.

Kaitlyn enjoyed taking it all in from her stroller.

Our Malibu Adventure

Day 1: Started with a L-O-N-G, beautiful hike through Solstice Canyon.

The famous #1!

Beautiful waterfalls we founds along the way to explore and play in.

Uncle Brian got the fun job of carrying Ava in the backpack up and up and up....

Yes, we started our hike way down there at the bottom where you can barely make out the trail!

Everyday we explored the tide pools by Uncle Brian's house. It was awesome!

Sneak Preview of our Adventure to Malibu...

On February 12, Ava and I took our 1st road trip together to visit Uncle Brian in Malibu. Along the way we stopped to see cousin Ashley at UC Santa Barbara. It was a blast! I learned so much in that car ride with Ava. I learned that Ava wants a circle cake for her birthday with marshmallow frosting, a "pillow pet" (have yet to actually see one) and that she really loves her sissy Kait. Here are a few highlights from our trip. I promise to post more pictures once I have more time...

The 4 hour day at the beach and the start of the biggest sand castle ever! The castle was so tough it withstood the overnight waves and was somewhat still standing the next day!

A Walk in Wilder Ranch

I couldn't ask for a better way to spend my last day of Winter Break!
We took the girls for a walk along the coast at Wilder Ranch. It was a beautiful day!
