Jacobe in search of the perfect Christmas tree.... Ava and I wanted the "Charlie Brown tree" on the left but daddy said "No way! You've got to be kidding!?!" After all the searching.... we settled on a pre-cut Noble Fir from Northern Oregon at the local nursery. Daddy wins again!
After dinner at Cafe Palomar, Jacobe took Ava to her 1st lighted boat parade at the Santa Cruz Harbor. They met up with Ava's best friend, Hayes and his dad Josh.
Having spent the last 5 months at home with Ava, I enrolled her in daycare a month before I went back to work to get used to not having her with me all day. I was so worried about her, I made Ava wear her "I Love Milk" beanie so they wouldn't forgot to feed her. Needless to say, Ava loved daycare and I LOVED the time to my self!!
After many shopping excursions, walks and pedicures together with their moms, Ava and Ellery finally took notice of eachother and became fast friends. Here comes trouble!
On September 15th we surprised Grandma Betty with a super duper surprise party! What a great night it was! It lasted until the wee hours of the morning and Ava was a champ. Ava slept practically the whole time and when she finally woke up all I heard was: "Look, she's awake! Her eyes are open!" That Ava!! I really thought she was over sleeping through these fun events! Here is Ava with the Birthday Girl (love that hat!), Sandy and Grandma Kathy.
Stacey reading the dinner menu to Grandpa Craig who left his reading glasses at home again! Mom after a glass of wine wearing Ava's birthday beanie.....
What a great time Ava had at Grandma and Grandpa Pytlewski's house over the weekend!! Ava went swimming for the first time with her Uncle Brian, got a new vibrating chair from Grandma, and LOVED showing off her new headband that Grandma Kathy got her!
We love Ava in her Baby Lulu outfit but we're starting to think she does not like it as much as we do.... The first time she was dressed in the outfit, Ava barfed all over it and today she had a HUGE blowout right after this photo was taken....probably why she was smiling.
