O.K.... so I didn't meet my goal of running in this years race... but there is always next year?! What a great time we had watching the people run by...

Go Giants (or not)!
Uncle B was home for a quick weekend and took us to another Giants game. It was great to spend time with the family but not to watch the Giants lose again...

Ava's New Bike
Since Jacobe loves moutain biking it seemed perfect to buy Ava a new helmet (a.k.a brain bucket) and bike for her birthday.
Here's Ava showing off her tu-tu, matching bib (that Grandma Kathy made) and helmet while practicing her walking with the bird walker she got for her birthday.
Only in Santa Cruz can one ride their bike in a tu-tu. Here is Ava showing off her new look while cruising down E. Cliff Drive.
So Ava has a few more inches to grow until her feet reach the pedals but boy does she LOVE her bike. Everytime she sees it, Ava points and says "bi" for bike. If I don't watch her closely, she will try to climb into the seat!

We can't believe how quickly this year has flown! Ava is already 1 and it just seems like yesterday that we brought her home from the hospital. Some highlights from her little get together....

Ava's Fo-hawk
Spending an afternoon on Santana Row in San Jose. Ava enjoyed rubbing food in her hair which made for an "all natural" hold for her fo-hawk. She is such a ham! We have so much fun with her no matter where we go!
Ava and Flowers
Ava loves flowers. Everytime the slider is open on the deck she darts out to pick flowers. She definately takes after daddy (and great grandpa) with her love of plants!

Happy Mother's Day!
Ava loves her new ride! Here is Jacobe wearing the Mother's Day gift he bought for me (but was really a gift for himself). I hope he doesn't mind the handheld vacuum I am going to get him for Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day Jacobe! Today we spent the day at the ballpark. Ava was decked out in her new Giant's hat and t-shirt! She LOVED her hat and wore it with pride (although the Giant's lost again)!

Another day in Capitola... Another pair of Sunglasses.

On our latest adventure to Toys R Us we found the "pink car". Ava loved it! She would point to different things in the store and I would help drive her over to see them. The best part was Ava actually thought she was driving! This entertainment lasted for at least 20 minutes before we decided it was time to go. We didn't buy the "pink car" but we did get the Leap Start Musical Table! It was an early birthday gift to Ava. P.S. I swear I do not walk around with a camera in my purse. This picture was taken with my cell phone.

Swim Lessons
Some of my best childhood memories are from swim team so when I heard about the Parent & Baby swim class I jumped at the opportunity to get Ava in the pool! Ava LOVES swimming and is a natural! She reaches for floating toys, comes up smiling after going under water and cries when it is time to get out!
